This technology exploits the idea that every paper document has a unique and distinctive fingerprint, which can be used to authenticate and verify the authenticity of the document itself.
The process of fingerprinting a paper document involves the use of high-resolution scanners, which capture a detailed image of the document. Once the fingerprint is extracted, it is converted into a unique, encoded digital representation, which can be stored and used to compare and match other fingerprints of paper documents.
